After months of waiting, the names of the 52 watch brands participating in the 8th edition of Only Watch, the biennial charity auction benefitting research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, have been unveiled. The event, that will take place on November 9that the Four Seasons Hôtel Des Bergues in Geneva, is organized thanks to the initiative of Luc Pettavino, president of the Association Monégasque Contre Les Myopathiesunder the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Since its creation in 2005, the project has raised over CGF 40 million. 100% of the proceeds achieved were directly invested in scientific and medical research on neuromuscular diseases in general and on Duchenne muscular dystrophy in particular, a devastating myopathy that affected Pettavino’s son Paul, died in 2016 at the age of 21.
This year again, many watch brands have positively responded to the association’s appeal, with 52 participants for 50 watches (there will be two duos, De Bethune + Urwerk and L’Epée + MB&F, who will respectively present one creation that is the fruit of their respective collaboration).
The 52 watchmaking companies that support ONLY WATCH 2019 range from large groups (Swatch, Richemont, LVMH, Kering) to major brands (Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Tudor among others), to small independent brands such as Akrivia, Louis Moinet or Czapek Genève among others.

For the second time Christie’s will be the auctioneer of choice on November 9 when the 50 one-of-a-kind timepieces will be auctioned. Ahead of the charity auction, this exceptional watch collection will be exhibited to the public in 10 different cities around the world, starting in Monaco, on the occasion of the Monaco Yacht Show.
