HYT: H2O & H0 Gold

At the very beginning, there were the hourglasses, rudimentary watches that used water during Egyptian Pharaohs era. Nowadays, to check the time directly from the wrist, without involving the force of gravity, typical of hourglasses, there are the ‘Hydro Mechanical Horologists’ of HYT Watches, Swiss manufacturers, expert in high watchmaking, that combines the latest technology together with liquids and high-tech materials, creating artworks, more than timepieces.

The new watch that HYT presented during SIHH 2018 is the H2O, which features a bell-like sapphire crystal case, that offers a lateral view of the time progress. Inside, the indexes, markers and directional arrows appears to be floating, but it’s actually a very accurate mechanism. There are two limited editions of the H20, each comprising 25 numbered pieces: the first one is clothed in black encloses a bright green fluid; the second one has a silver-colored case and deep blue liquid. The angled positioning of the two bellows propel time forward in the patented HYT micro-fluidic module, completed by the jumping minute hand, the crown position indicator and the thermal indicator.

Near to H2O model, there is also the H0 Gold, as tribute to this precious metal, symbol of time’s fluidity and sophisticated luxury. Distinguished by two multi-layer bellows, visible through the dial, that triggers the patented HYT micro-fluidic module, highlighted by an instantly visible black fluid indicating recently elapsed time, and a clear one suggesting what is to come. Details that, together with the power reserve display with a water-themed pattern, show the intricate relationship between time and space. An ultra-matt black strap in alligator leather complements the 18k Champagne-colored gold case: the purity of the 2N,decorated with a mix of circular brushing and fine sandblasting, makes the H0 a design watch, as well as a high precision timepiece.
