Patek Philippe: Ref. 4947 Annual Calendar For Ladies

If one must choose a watch as a symbol of the merge between mechanical complication and elegance, he would certainly mention Patek Philippe’s Ref. 4947 Annual Calendar for ladies.

On the occasion of Baselworld 2017, the Geneva-based brand unveiled a new version of this 38mm white gold case timepiece. The new release is even more feminine and refined thanks to a “silky” new guise. In fact, the Ref. 4947 has been endowed with a silvery dial as well as a double vertical and horizontal satin nish reminiscent of wild shantung silk.

This adds a touch of very feminine nesse to the mechanics, including the self­winding mechanical movement, the patented full calendar that only needs to be corrected once a year, the moon-phases indications, of day and month by hands and of date in an aperture.

Last but not least, the preciousness: the Ref. 4947 case is set with 141 diamonds (~1.28 ct), the crown is set with 14 diamonds (~0.06 ct), the gold applied numerals. The Annual Calendar for ladies is available with an alligator strap with square scales, hand­stitched, shiny peacock blue, and prong buckle.
