There are moments when a watch, while remaining true to itself, changes its skin in a decisive way. That is exactly what happens with the new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, presented at Watches and Wonders 2026: a Black Bay you recognise at first glance, but which on the wrist tells a different story. More technical, more essential, almost radical in its interpretation of total black.

Because here Tudor does not simply introduce a new material: it pushes it to the extreme, creating for the first time a watch entirely in ceramic, with a black ceramic case and matching bracelet. A choice that profoundly changes the perception of the object, without betraying the identity of the Black Bay collection.
DESIGN AND STYLE BLACK BAY
The proportions remain the familiar ones — 41 mm — but it is the material that makes the difference. The micro-blasted matte black ceramic absorbs light and gives back a more compact, almost monolithic presence, far removed from the brilliance of steel.
The unidirectional rotating bezel combines 316L steel with black PVD treatment and a black ceramic insert with a sunray finish. The engraved markers ensure consistently sharp legibility, coherent with the DNA of a Tudor diver. On the domed anthracite dial, the sunray finish introduces a subtle depth. The iconic Tudor Snowflake hands, a signature of the brand since 1969, are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova Grade A, ensuring visibility even in the dark. The screw-down crown, in 316L steel with black PVD treatment and the Tudor rose in relief, is completed by the satin-finished steel crown tube with circular graining, a discreet technical detail yet consistent with the overall quality.

Completing the whole, the domed sapphire crystal reinforces that sense of solidity one expects from a Black Bay.
THE FIRST FULLY CERAMIC TUDOR
The real leap lies in the construction. Not only the case: the three-link ceramic bracelet is also entirely made of the same material. This makes the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic the first model from the brand to be completely crafted in ceramic, an important step both from a technical point of view and in terms of positioning.

Working ceramic on moving components requires extremely precise tolerances, and the result is a watch with total aesthetic continuity and a unique feel on the wrist. The patented ceramic folding clasp completes a project that clearly aims to stand out within the landscape of ceramic diver watches.
MOVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Inside we find the Tudor MT5602-U calibre, a manufacture automatic movement with a bidirectional rotor. The 70-hour power reserve makes it practical for everyday use, while the double certification represents one of its key points: COSC Chronometer and METAS Master Chronometer.

This combination guarantees high standards of precision, resistance to magnetic fields and reliability over time, positioning the Black Bay Ceramic among the most complete watches in the collection. In practice, it remains a Tudor diving watch in every respect: central hours, minutes and seconds with stop-seconds function and water resistance up to 200 metres, perfectly consistent with the spirit of the line.
FINAL THOUGHTS
This Tudor Black Bay Ceramic 7941A1ACNU is not a simple variation on the theme. It is an evolution that passes through material and brings Tudor towards a more technical and contemporary dimension.
A ceramic Black Bay that maintains its own language, but interprets it with greater intensity. And for this very reason, probably one of the most interesting models seen at Watches and Wonders.
