Audemars Piguet: Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph “25th anniversary”

In 1993, Audemars Piguet presented the first Royal Oak Offshore. A sport watch with a strong and audacious character that we knew and loved in over than 120 different references thoughout the years, such as the Schumacher, the Barichello, the Shaquille O’Neal, the Survivor, the Las Vegas Strip, the Alinghi and the Volcano.

Today the Manufacture of Le Brassus celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Offshore with three new versions of his iconic sport watch. The first is a re-edition of the original Royal Oak Offshore; self-winding chronograph, steel case, blue dial “Petite Tapisserie”, blue pushers covered with rubber, and case back engraved with the Royal Oak Offshore logo in the center, and the word AUTOMATIC.

The second and the third are the two new Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronographs, which features an amazing contemporary design, and are available with a 45mm case in steel or pink gold.

These two models, each limited to only 50 pieces, are inspired by the previous Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph (26388PO & 2628 8OR), with an entirely redesigned hand-wound movement, developed exclusively to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore collection. Featuring the combination of materials that is often presented on Royal Oak Offshore models, the crown and pushpieces are now crafted in ceramic instead of metal and rubber.

The dial, deep and skeletonized, brings forth the wonderful architecture of the caliber and futuristic design. At 3 we have the counter “30 minutes” of the chrono, at 9 the tourbillon while the double barrel allows 7 days of power reserve.

The new Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph are water resistant to 100 meters and combined with a black rubber strap with pin bukle. The price is about CHF. 285.000 for the steel version and CHF. 325.000 for the version in pink gold.
