With the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495, the maison introduces one of the most technically advanced divers ever created within the Submersible collection, combining Titanium DMLS, a skeleton calibre, GMT functionality, and water resistance up to 500 meters. Born from Panerai’s experience in developing professional instruments for the Italian Navy, the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 represents an extreme evolution of the contemporary tool watch concept.

The new reference combines a 47 mm Grade 5 Titanium DMLS case with the skeletonized automatic P.4001/S calibre, integrating a highly technical construction with a strong aesthetic identity. Every element of the watch has been developed to meet concrete requirements of legibility, robustness, and performance, while keeping at its core the functional DNA that has always defined the Panerai Submersible collection.
THE 47 MM TITANIUM DMLS CASE OF THE PANERAI SUBMERSIBLE GMT PAM01495
One of the most interesting aspects of the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 is its 47 mm case crafted from Titanium DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering). Panerai was among the first maisons to introduce 3D-printed titanium into watchmaking, with a patent filed as early as 2012, and this model represents a new evolution of that technical research.

DMLS technology makes it possible to build the case layer by layer starting from titanium powder. This process allows internal cavities to be created, significantly reducing weight without compromising robustness and structural resistance. Compared to a traditional titanium construction, the DMLS solution is approximately 25% lighter, while the advantage over steel exceeds 50% for the same design.

The sandblasted finish enhances the technical character of the watch, while the unidirectional rotating titanium bezel integrates a matte blue ceramic insert that introduces a more contemporary chromatic contrast. Completing the identity of the model is the iconic Panerai crown-protecting bridge, a distinctive element of the maison and fundamental for safety during underwater use.
THE SKELETONIZED P.4001/S CALIBRE WITH PATENTED POLARIZED DATE
Powering the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 is the skeletonized automatic P.4001/S calibre, a movement introduced by Panerai in 2021 and composed of 341 components. Designed to combine mechanical complexity and legibility, the movement integrates an innovative patented polarized date system specifically developed to preserve the visibility of the skeletonized architecture.

Unlike a traditional date disc, normally opaque and visually intrusive, the system used in the PAM01495 remains virtually invisible across the entire movement, displaying the date exclusively through the aperture at 3 o’clock. A technical solution that preserves maximum visual openness on the calibre without sacrificing functionality.
The movement also integrates a GMT function with second time zone indication on a 12-hour scale. The AM/PMindicator is integrated within the small seconds display at 9 o’clock, while the orange GMT hand has been developed to offer enhanced visibility at sea and underwater, recalling the colours traditionally used for nautical buoys and signalling devices.

Panerai has also implemented a patented GMT spring that allows the local hour hand to advance in one-hour increments, simplifying adjustments while travelling. Completing the package is the seconds reset function, directly derived from the brand’s historic military instruments, which allows the watch to be synchronized with extreme precision. The calibre also integrates a KIF Parechoc® anti-shock device.
GMT, 72-HOUR POWER RESERVE, AND OFF-CENTERED OSCILLATING WEIGHT
The new Panerai diver offers a 72-hour power reserve thanks to a twin-barrel system. Energy is managed through an off-centered tungsten oscillating weight, designed to maintain maximum visibility of the movement while simultaneously keeping the calibre thickness to 7.36 mm.

The power reserve indicator is positioned on the case back and visible through a circular sapphire element. This is a choice consistent with Panerai’s functional philosophy, as it allows the dial to remain cleaner and more legible, leaving space exclusively for essential information during use.
Also noteworthy is the graphic motif running through the skeletonized movement. The structure recalls the military nets historically used in harbours to protect vessels, here reinterpreted as both a technical and decorative element within the calibre’s architecture.
WATER RESISTANCE UP TO 500 METERS AND EXTREME PANERAI TESTING
One of the most impressive aspects of the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 is its water resistance up to 50 bar, equivalent to approximately 500 meters. A particularly significant value considering the presence of a highly complex skeleton calibre.

To certify these performances, Panerai subjects every single watch to an extremely rigorous testing protocol developed by the maison’s Laboratorio di Idee. Every component is individually checked before assembly, while representative samples undergo simulations reproducing years of real-world use under extreme conditions.
Subsequently, each watch is immersed in a special water chamber where pressure exceeding the declared rating by 25% is applied. The final inspection also includes a thermal test on the sapphire crystal to detect any traces of internal moisture.

Completing the underwater configuration are the unidirectional rotating bezel and indexes treated with Super-LumiNova. Panerai has differentiated the luminescence to further improve legibility: the minute hand and bezel dot glow blue, making dive time immediately readable, while all other elements glow green.
SKELETON DESIGN, SUPER-LUMINOVA, AND SUBMERSIBLE DNA
While introducing a highly technical construction, the Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 maintains a strong Panerai identity. The skeletonization leaves the movement fully visible, while the indexes are applied directly onto the rehaut to preserve legibility and visual depth.

The openworked dial, combined with the blue tones of the bezel and rubber strap, gives the new Panerai Submersible a modern and aggressive aesthetic consistent with the professional character of the collection. The watch is also supplied with a second black bi-material strap and presented in a special deluxe blue cherry wood box.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY OF THE PANERAI SUBMERSIBLE GMT PAM01495
The new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 will be available exclusively through Panerai boutiques starting from May 2026, with a retail price of 49,000 euros.

Between skeletonization, 3D-printed titanium construction, and extreme water resistance, the new Panerai Submersible GMT PAM01495 demonstrates how Panerai continues to reinterpret the concept of the contemporary professional watch, combining mechanical innovation, material research, and military DNA in one of the most sophisticated Submersiblemodels ever created by the maison.
