One of the Vacheron Constantin collections that has, over the years, been home to some of the Maison’s most elegant and mechanically accomplished timepieces is the Malte. Since 1912, the Geneva manufacture has paired the collection’s iconic tonneau-shaped case with some of its finest movements, creating watches that perfectly balance aesthetic refinement with exceptional watchmaking expertise.<\/p>\n

The Royal Eagle 42008 builds on this legacy with a contemporary interpretation. Its 35 \u00d7 39 mm yellow gold case houses the automatic Calibre 1206, fitted with 31 jewels and offering a power reserve of approximately 65 hours. Protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the ivory dial combines elegant black Arabic numerals with a harmonious layout. At 3 o’clock is the date display, with the number 31 highlighted in red, while the day display at 9 o’clock features the word “SUN” in matching red. At 6 o’clock, the small seconds subdial bears the inscription Automatic Chronometer<\/em>, highlighting the movement’s chronometer certification. Completing the watch are a black alligator leather strap and a yellow gold pin buckle.<\/p>\n

Produced in the early 2000s, the Royal Eagle stands as one of Vacheron Constantin’s most original interpretations of the classic dress watch. Its balanced proportions, distinctive tonneau-shaped case and design language, which departs from the Maison’s more traditional aesthetic, give it a character of its own, making it an especially appealing reference for collectors looking for a less conventional Vacheron Constantin.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
