Inspired by historical Minerva classic wristwatches from the 1940s and 1950s<\/strong>, the new Heritage collection by Montblanc<\/strong> combines the elegance of watchmaking past with today\u2019s bold design codes and technology.<\/p>\n

Vintage aesthetics include domed dials with two finishings and dots as indexes combined with colours such as salmon, smoked-caramel and silvery-white.\u00a0Fully polished cases from 39 to 42 mm feature curved horns with facets and are fitted with sapphire crystal glass boxes for an elegant historical look.<\/p>\n

The new collection is composed of six models<\/strong> and integrates a comprehensive range of movements inspired by high-end Minerva calibres from the past\u00a0to a new perpetual calendar calibre, and a\u00a0new mid-range monopusher chronograph.<\/p>\n

The entire collection is water resistant up to 5 ATM and certified by the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the new product line is the Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100, a timepiece inspired by what collectors call the \u2018doctor\u2019s watches\u2019, that were used by physicians in the past to check\u00a0a patient\u2019s heart rate<\/strong>. This 40-mm<\/strong> timepiece comes in steel<\/strong> and is powered by the Montblanc\u00a0Manufacture monopusher chronograph calibre MB M13.21 visible through the caseback<\/strong>, and includes a\u00a0doctor\u2019s pulsograph indication graduated for 30 pulsations<\/strong>. Its salmon-coloured domed dial<\/strong> features vintage design codes that can be seen on Minerva wristwatches from the 1940s and 50s:<\/p>\n

    The Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar features a brand-new manufacture movement, the calibre MB 29.22, that indicates the hours, minutes, day, date, month, moonphase and leap\u00a0year<\/strong> in an extremely legible way thanks to its large counters at\u00a03, 6 and 9 o\u2019clock<\/strong>. The movement took three years to develop\u00a0and is composed solely of wheels, in contrast to most perpetual calendars that use levers<\/strong>. This enables the user to adjust the watch via the crown in both directions, making it far simpler to set<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    In addition to this, another new safety feature developed by the Montblanc engineers prevents the user from setting\u00a0the watch between the hours of 8 pm and 12 pm, when any manipulation could damage the movement as the correctors are locked. The new Montblanc Heritage Perpetual Calendar is powered by a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve<\/strong> and is also equipped with a very practical dual-time function and a 24-hour indicator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Montblanc presents a new monopusher chronograph offering an accessibly priced model<\/strong> at the centre of the Heritage product line.\u00a0The Montblanc Heritage Monopusher Chronograph features the latest chronograph design within the Montblanc product line with a domed, silvery-white dial with two different finishes<\/strong>. The dial is also adorned with anthracite applied Arabic numerals, dots as indexes; a rack minuterie; bent Dauphine hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova<\/strong>; and blued baton hands for the seconds and subdial indications<\/strong>. A closer look at the minutes chronograph counter at three o\u2019clock reveals an indicator for 3, 6 and 9 minutes\u2014 a vintage touch from the days when we used coin-operated telephones and needed to track the length\u00a0and cost of a call.<\/strong> This 42 mm<\/strong> timepiece comes in a fully-polished stainless steel case with curved horns<\/strong>, a domed sapphire glass box<\/strong> and the Minerva Manufacture embossing on the case back<\/strong>. The mid-range monopusher movement is a nod to the long history of Minerva\u2019s monopusher chronographs. Tested for 500 hours, the Montblanc Heritage Automatic is powered by Montblanc\u2019s MB 24.27 automatic movement<\/strong>.
