Without a doubt, the colour blue has always inspired artists and scientists. From Leonardo da Vinci, who described the colour of the sky as an amalgamation of light and darkness, to Albrecht D\u00fcrer, who likened pure gold to the natural ultramarine extracted from lapis lazuli. From Hokusai’s Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, to Picasso’s Blue Period and to Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.<\/p>\n

Today, A. Lange & S\u00f6hne presents four new watches with a new and fascinating deep-blue dial<\/strong>, two manually wound and two self-winding models. These are the Lange 1\u00a0(\u20ac.32.500), Lange 1 Daymatic (\u20ac.39.400), Saxonia (\u20ac.15.300)\u00a0and Saxonia Automatic\u00a0(\u20ac.23.300\u200b)<\/strong>, whose white-gold cases are now paired with galvanised dials in solid silver.<\/p>\n

Polished hands and rhodiumed gold appliques accentuate the striking contrast<\/strong>. Hand-stitched dark-blue alligator leather straps<\/strong> and solid white-gold prong buckles<\/strong> complete the stylish look.<\/p>\n
