Today, after 5 years of development , Audemars Piguet announces a new timepiece designed for use in motor-racing.<\/p>\n

\"-1x-1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Laptimer features a single chronograph driving two central hands that can be controlled independently through three pushpieces. The first one at the conventional two o’clock position to start and stop the chronograph. The second one at the four o’clock position to reset the chronograph. The third pushpiece at the nine o’clock position to stop one of the two simultaneously running hands and sending the other back to zero and restarting it.<\/p>\n

\"Audemars-Piguet-Royal-Oak-Concept-Laptimer-Michael-Schumacher-5\"<\/a><\/p>\n

This means that you can record the time of one lap, while the other one begins.
\nIf you want to keep the first lap as a reference, you press the pushpiece at four o’clock, which activates a “flyback” function: the running seconds will jump back to zero and start over while leaving the first lap where it is.<\/p>\n

The Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher is the first mechanical chronograph with alternating consecutive lap timing and flyback function.
\nThis is a second Audemars Piguet timepiece created in collaboration with Michael Schumacher that honors the achievements of the motor racing’s legend and it bears Schumacher’s name.
\nThe Royal Oak Concept Laptimer Michael Schumacher is a limited edition watch and is being produced in 221 examples, one for each point-winning F1 race of Schumacher’s career.<\/p>\n
