The so-called \u201cfashion brands\u201d are often underestimated in watchmaking. Think about Chanel, that created a true market phenomenon in the past 15 years with the high-tech ceramic J12, or Herm\u00e8s, that even started to produce its own movement in-house.<\/p>\n

No less is Louis Vuitton, one of the latest big fashion houses that successfully entered in the watchmaking world.<\/p>\n

The Parisian brand launched in 2014 the Escale Worldtimer, an innovative and complicated world time zone with white gold case, limited to 50 pieces, followed in 2015 by the Escale Time Zone, much less complex and much more affordable (the price is around 10 times less compared to the Worldtimer).<\/p>\n

Created by La Fabrique du Temps, the Escale Time Zone<\/a><\/span><\/strong> movement features an original time-zone function, allowing to see the time instantly in 24 different cities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"LOUIS<\/a><\/p>\n

All the functions can be set through the crown. The two hands in the center indicate hours and minutes. The local time is positioned at 12 o\u2019clock, and becomes the reference for reading all the other world time zones, which are displayed on the 24 hours\/cities external disc.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With its colorful planetary palette, the watch revists the codes of the House and the Art of Travel. The dial takes its inspiration from the bands, initials and emblems used in days gone by to personalize customers’ trunks, while the case reinterprets these trunks’ corner trims.<\/strong> Honoring Louis Vuitton’s tradition of craftsmanship, the dial is made at La Fabrique du Temps, using a technique of transfer and carried out by hand.<\/p>\n

The starting price of the steel version is 5.300 Euro.<\/strong><\/p>\n
