The Jaeger-LeCoultre collection is enriched with the new Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon<\/strong>, the maison’s first watch that combines two of the most popular complications: a moon phase and a tourbillon, with the addition of Jaeger- LeCoultre\u2019s signature peripheral \u2018jumping\u2019 date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon<\/strong>, Jaeger-LeCoultre\u2019s engineers capitalised on the 978 movement to develop the new Calibre 983 with 45 hours of power reserve<\/strong>. The triple moon phase indicator \u2013 displaying the age of the moon as well as its phases in both Hemispheres \u2013 is also a recent development, having been introduced last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon <\/strong>is presented in a 41,5 mm case made of Le Grand Rose gold,<\/strong>a new pink gold alloy characterized by a remarkable sheen and resistance to fading over time. To complete the pink gold tone, an eggshell-white dial<\/strong> combined with “Dauphine” hands<\/strong> and gold applied indexes with an elongated arrow-shape design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in the upper half of the dial, the astronomical complication displays the Northern Hemisphere moon phases in the traditional way \u2013 a deep blue sky scattered with stars provides the background for a polished golden disc. Surrounding this is a ring with applied Southern Hemisphere moon phases on the left and the Age of the Moon on the right, each indicated by a double-ended hand<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Per il For the peripheral date display the Manufacture\u2019s engineers chose Jaeger-LeCoultre<\/span><\/a>\u2019s signature \u2018jumping\u2019 complication. Every month, the date hand makes 90-degree jump, gliding rapidly from the 15th to the 16th, in order not to obscure the tourbillon<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lower half of the dial is dominated by the tourbillon. A newly designed bridge in polished pink gold secures the titanium tourbillon cage<\/strong> as it completes one revolution every 60 seconds. On the back, the long span of the open-worked tourbillon bridge further enhances this transparency, while its C\u00f4tes de Gen\u00e8ve decoration complements the sunray pattern of the stripes on the main plate. The open-worked pink gold winding rotor, which features the JLC logo<\/strong> and a combination of polished and micro-blasted surfaces, allows a clear view of the movement, with additional fine finishes including blue screws, circular graining and chamfered bridges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like all Jaeger-LeCoultre<\/span> timepieces, the\u00a0Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Moon\u00a0<\/strong>carries an\u00a0eight-year warranty\u00a0<\/strong>in addition to the\u00a01,000 Hours Control certification<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 one of the watch industry\u2019s most stringent testing protocols.
