The\u00a0Black Bay Fifty-Eight \u201cNavy Blue\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0gets its name from its colour, of course, but also from the year\u00a01958, in which the first Tudor<\/span> divers\u2019 watch waterproof to 200 metres (660 ft), reference 7924 or \u201cBig Crown\u201d, was presented<\/strong>. Among the many aesthetic nods to this historic watch, this model also carries on with the long Tudor tradition of blue sports watches.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Fifty-Eight\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In 1969, Tudor introduced a divers\u2019 watch witha blue dial and bezel<\/strong>. The other sports watchesin the collection were soon attired in blue, immediately creating a lasting aesthetic hallmark known as \u201cTudor Blue\u201d. Adopted by the French navy for its Tudor divers\u2019 watches during the 1970s<\/strong>, this livery became part of the collective imagination. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight \u201cNavy Blue\u201d follows in this tradition with its navy blue dialand bezel insert. This is a colour that also appears on the \u201csoft touch\u201d strap offered with this model and made from a synthetic, tactile material resembling flannel<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE CALIBRE MT5402<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Manufacture Calibre MT5402<\/strong>, which equips the Black Bay Fifty-Eight \u201cNavy Blue\u201d<\/strong>, displays hour, minute and second functions. Its rotor in tungsten monobloc<\/strong> is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and mainplate have alternate sand-blasted, polished surfaces and laser decorations. Its build has been designed to ensure robustness, longevity, reliability and precision, as has its variable inertia balance, which is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point fixation. Together with its non-magnetic silicon hairspring<\/strong>, the Manufacture Calibre MT5402 is chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like other models in the Black Bay range, the Black Bay Fifty-Eight \u201cNavy Blue\u201d<\/strong> adopts Tudor\u2019s characteristic angular hands known as \u201cSnowflake<\/strong>\u201d and the 39mm steel case<\/strong> with polished and satin finish. The unidirectional rotating bezel is in steel with a matt blue anodized aluminum disc and silver gilded markings and numerals. On the screw-down winding crown, the classic Tudor rose in relief<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Fifty-Eight\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The new\u00a0Tudor Black Bay<\/span> Fifty-Eight \u201cNavy Blue\u201d is available in two versions<\/strong>, with a riveted steel bracelet\u00a0(\u20ac 3.500<\/strong>) or with a soft-touch\/blue fabric strap\u00a0(\u20ac 3.200<\/strong>). The watch is accompanied by a\u00a0five-year “transferable” Tudor guarantee that doesn\u2019t require any registration or maintenance checks of the watch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
